Dr Stephanie Seugmin Kim

PhD, is a curator of art exhibitions, documentarian, founder of two art festivals, and the founding director of Sleepers Summit and Iskai Contemporary Art, UK. She has worked as a founding curator for the Korean Cultural Centre, UK (2007-2011) and served in a variety of institutional curatorial roles. She also has curated over 90 exhibitions in 20 cities worldwide and produced and directed two award-winning documentary films. She received PhD from the Royal College of Art and currently is a member of the MIT Global Humanities Group. Her work often challenges the limits of traditional exhibitions, pushes boundaries of existing mediums, and introduces new, often controversial, artists, exhibits and genres. Since 2008, for example, she has championed art, artists and projects addressing the topic of climate change.
